Ms. Jones is a former resident of Ypsilanti Public Housing Commission and former President of the resident Council an served the board of commission as a resident commissioner and Now as President of the Board for the past 4 years and served on the board for 18th years Is currently employee with Willow Run Community School- as Behavior Support Staff member He is also Active and may Volunteer organization such as PTO President for ECDC-Early Child Development Center, ; Girl Scout Leader, and a member of the Elks Lodge.
Commissioner Mrs. Strong has served on the Ypsilanti Housing Commission’s Board of Commissioners for 18 yrs. During this time she has served as both President as well as Vice President. Mrs. Strong is very committed to children’s issues. She has served as a Teen Advisor for the Ypsilanti Jack and Jill, worked with the Infant Mental Health Association of Michigan, served on the Board of the Student Advocacy Center of Michigan as well as the MSU Families and Children Together (FACT) Advisory Committee. With all of his advocacy for children’s issues, it is not surprising that Mrs. Strong holds a B.S. degree in Special Education (k-12) as well as a M.A. degree in Education from Eastern Michigan University. Also Institute for Education Leadership Fellow (IEL), Washington, DC Post Graduate Work Mrs. Strong was the Executive Director for the Michigan Children’s Trust Fund for over nine years. Although currently retired, he remains busy as the President and CEO of Strong & Associates while she turns ideas into reality.
E.Rene Smith Vice President Appointed to the Ypsilanti Housing Commission Board in November 2010. Her passion is speaking up for those who cannot speak for themselves. When she is not doing this by Volunteering as a board member at Ypsilanti Housing Commission, he advocates for others through his church. Ms. Smith is a member of Northridge Church in Plymouth, Michigan. In his leisure time she enjoys vacationing with family and friends, attending sporting events and golfing.

Ethington a retired employee ford Motor Company for 12 years She also enjoys caring for the elders and working with the youth and young adult and service as a committed Volunteer with in the Ypsilanti Community throughout many nonprofit organization such as Washtenaw County Democratic Party, Loyal Opposition to the status Quo, and Heritage Park Neighborhood Assoc.
